Privacy policy

Market ยท Effective November 3, 2026

The short version. We don’t collect your data. There’s no account to create, no ads, no analytics and no tracking.

Your farm’s records, including your customers’ names and how to reach them, live on your iPhone, iPad or Mac and in your own private iCloud account. We can’t see them.

If you share your farm, the people you invite see it through Apple’s iCloud sharing. It still never reaches us.

Who we are

The app is published by MK Media Group LLC, doing business as Kummer Homestead, Chattooga County, Georgia, USA (โ€œweโ€, โ€œusโ€). Questions about this policy: [email protected].

Where your records are kept

Everything you enter, including your customers, products and prices, stock and where it’s kept, orders, pickups, payments, receipts, shares of animals and their weights and bills, cut sheets, processors and bookings, the waiting list, your pricing guide figures and your farm’s settings, is stored:

  • On your device, and
  • In your private iCloud database, if you’re signed in to iCloud, so it syncs between your own devices. Apple stores this data under your Apple Account. We have no access to it. Apple’s handling of iCloud data is covered by Apple’s privacy policy.

The name you type under Settings โ†’ On this device โ†’ Your name is kept on that device and added to the orders and payments you take, so the people on a shared farm can see who took them.

Your customers’ details

A customer record can hold a name, phone number, email address, mailing address and your notes. You type these in, or pick a card from your Contacts with Apple’s contact picker: the app then copies that one card’s name, mobile number, first email and address. It doesn’t ask for access to your Contacts and can’t read the rest of them, and it never reads the card again later.

These details stay with your other records, on your devices and in your iCloud. They leave the app only when you send something yourself (see below). You’re responsible for how you use your customers’ information, as you would be with a notebook or a spreadsheet.

What you send from the app

Some buttons hand something to another app on your device. Nothing is sent until you send it there.

  • Call, Text and Email on a customer’s page open your Phone, Messages or Mail app with their number or address filled in.
  • Receipts, bills and cut sheets are made as PDFs on your device and go wherever you choose in the share sheet. A cut sheet for custom-exempt meat includes the owner’s name and address, because the processor has to record them (9 CFR 303.1).
  • “What’s available” and the waiting-list offer are text you can edit, then send with Messages, Mail or a post of your choosing.
  • Export in Reports makes an Excel workbook of your sales, shares and payments, including customer names, and hands it to the share sheet.

Reminders

If you allow notifications, the app schedules reminders on your device, such as the evening before a pickup day or a processor booking. They aren’t sent from a server.

What the app doesn’t do

  • It doesn’t connect to our servers or anyone else’s; the only network use is your own iCloud.
  • It doesn’t take card payments. It records how a customer paid; the money moves outside the app.
  • It doesn’t use your location, camera or photos.

What we don’t do

  • We don’t collect personal information, yours or your customers’.
  • We don’t use analytics, advertising or tracking tools, and we don’t sell or share data.
  • We don’t track you across other companies’ apps or websites.

If you email us, we’ll use your email only to reply.

Deleting your data

  • A customer with no orders, payments or shares can be deleted from their page; one with history can be archived.
  • Deleting the app removes the copy on that device.
  • To remove the iCloud copy as well: on your iPhone or iPad, Settings โ†’ [your name] โ†’ iCloud โ†’ Manage Storage (on a Mac, System Settings โ†’ [your name] โ†’ iCloud โ†’ Manage), then delete Market’s data.

Children

The app is a farm business tool meant for adults and is not directed to children under 13. We don’t knowingly collect information from children.

Changes to this policy

If the app’s handling of data changes, we’ll update this page and the date at the top. Significant changes will also be noted in the app’s release notes.
